Alex made the good point that it's a good amount to get Leopard when it comes out. Although I'm a little surprised they still haven't announced a firm release date.

I already bought someone an iPod. I don't even use the 30 gig "classic" I have now. When I do listen, I listen using the iPhone.
Then save the credit for Leopard or perhaps a newer version of FCP upon its release.
