Just checked the weather as I typically do as I wind down each night, and it's 3 degrees!
What the hell am I still doing living here?!
It was -2 in Ann Arbor this morning. I certainly hope my kid is smart enough to wear a hat and gloves...but knowing him, I doubt it.
It helps you to appreciate the summer, and it makes you think twice before complaining about the heat and humidity.
I had a nice refreshing ferris wheel ride last night in 15 degree weather!
Eh, the cold sucks, it’s true, but after living in Florida for 2 years, I appreciate it so much more. Sure, at first it’s fun to never have “cold” weather, but it soon gets old and you miss the snow at Christmas and the cozy feeling you get when you’re sitting next to a fire or cuddled up under a blanket.
The social energy that gets created when spring or warm weather comes around is priceless. People appreciate it and celebrate it, there’s a sense of excitement and motivation in the air. You just don't get that in places where there is no real hard-core winter. Where weather is taken for granted and it's the same all year round.
... and don’t get me started on how crisp and refreshing fall feels!
You even said it yourself!
